BandLab Technologies, a global music technology group based in Singapore, has acquired Israeli startup Aiode, a Horizon Capital portfolio company. Announced on July 15, 2026, the acquisition adds an AI-powered digital music studio to BandLab’s portfolio, alongside its BandLab and Cakewalk platforms.

Aiode helps creators produce music using proprietary AI models developed in collaboration with professional musicians and producers. Users can start a project from scratch or upload their own audio, then select virtual musicians across different instruments and styles. They can direct performances, generate alternative takes for individual sections, and export the finished work as separate tracks or a complete mix.

Central to Aiode’s approach is artist participation. The company says all audio used to train its models is fully licensed and traceable to its source. Models representing individual musicians are developed with those artists and under their creative direction, helping preserve their distinctive sound and musical identity.

Founded in 2022 by Idan and Blue Dobresky, Aiode raised approximately $7 million from investors including Horizon Capital. In 2024, the company joined Abbey Road Studios’ music technology incubator, further connecting its technology with the professional music community.

Following the acquisition, Aiode will continue operating as a standalone product, with uninterrupted service for existing users. Its musician partnerships and licensing agreements will remain in place, and the founders will continue leading the company. Joining BandLab gives Aiode a broader platform to bring its approach to more creators, combining accessible AI tools with professional production workflows.
