Incode Technologies, a global leader in AI-powered identity verification and fraud prevention, has acquired Israeli startup Identiq, a Horizon Capital portfolio company. Announced on June 25, 2026, the acquisition strengthens Incode’s ability to help businesses verify identities and prevent fraud while protecting sensitive customer data. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Identiq specializes in privacy-preserving identity validation. Its anonymous, distributed network allows companies to validate new users and vouch for customers they already know, without exposing personal information to other network members or third parties. This approach helps businesses distinguish legitimate users from fraudsters while maintaining control over their customers’ data.
Through the acquisition, Incode is adding Identiq’s patented cryptographic technology to its platform. Organizations can identify recurring fraud patterns across a network without collecting customer information in a central database. The integration is designed to extend Identiq’s technology to billions of identity verifications annually.
The acquisition forms part of Incode’s broader $100 million commitment to privacy infrastructure, including on-device processing, research, and engineering expansion. As AI agents enable more sophisticated fraud, Incode aims to combine identity verification with intelligence shared across organizations.
Identiq was founded in 2019 by Itay Levy, Ido Shilon, and Uri Arad and raised $53 million. Levy previously co-founded Appoxee, another Horizon Capital portfolio company, acquired by Teradata in 2015. With Identiq joining Incode, its technology enters a broader global platform for identity and trust.
